One of the participants who come to my workshops at Mid Pennine Gallery has been recognized as a gifted child in art according to her school.This is pretty good for her as it means she gets a heap of extra encouragement and extra lessons.I agree with the schools findings.. the girl is awesome..The image you can see was created in this weeks workshop, using a photo scanner and the image manipulation package Photoshop.. Fair enough, I think I may have influenced the workshop a little too much.. it does look a lot like mine.. but I like what she has done here…. For less than 2 hours work I think this is better than the work produced by some students of twice her age.. and she has the ability to talk about her work in a way that makes sense.So yeh.. I'm happy.
