This image has just found a finishing point. It's small textured and has been a pain to paint. I kept finding lots of bits that just didn’t feel right. I left it in storage for  storing it for about 6 months, came back to it yesterday, had a creative day and found that it suddenly worked for me. Hope it works for you too! (Of course it's much more effective if you view the actual canvas!)
