Thanks to the continued effots of curator Franky Bell the Sanctuary exhibitions are going from strength to strength. I am literally delighted to be part of the continuing exhibition programme she has produced. This is an opportunity to showcase new work in the UIYO Gallows tradition. I have promised to submit for the next call for artists with UIYO Selector giving viewers of the work the opportunity to select a part of the work they would like to take away with them. This will leave an artwork with holes in it behind. This creates another image and talks of fragmentation in works and in life.Up-dateThe Sanctuary bar has unfortunately closed. This is a sad loss to the town as a vibrant community of artists have lost a venue to display a diverse range of art works. Thank you Franky for all your hard work!
