Continuing the disjointed narrative of 'Miss Shape' and 'The UIYO Gallows Project'              'First Floor' is a comment on dyslexia. The form of the painting echos the look of penguin books and old street signs. I believe an artists job is to create art.. No, no I don’t.. I believe an artists job is to live.. The art created is a bi-product of living.. The art an artist creates can often be examined and read as though a diary. Each artwork being a step along the path his or her life has taken.. I think this work is a step I have taken a couple of times already. I keep coming back to it, like visiting an old friend. Each time I come back to the step it becomes smoother and more refined..  This image isn’t a fully resolved step but is almost showing my process for the future when it will be resolved.
